My client is a well-respected legal firm based in London, and are looking for an additional member to join their technical support team, who comes from a legal IT support background, who will be able to provide a mix of 1st and 2nd Line Support, get involved in various IT projects and also provide training for new joiners and upgrades. You will be providing a dual service of IT Support, via the company Helpdesk, where you will be joining an existing team who support the Partners, Fee Earners and Business Support staff, the role will also entail travel to two other sites within the UK, and under the guidance of the Head of IT, plan and implement projects, such us hardware or software upgrades etc. You will come from a Legal, or Professional Services environment, where you have provided both1st and 2nd Line Support, in position of a Support Analyst or similar, with experience of training and supporting Docs Open, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Elite Enterprise, Carpe Diem, Deltaview, and Oyez Forms. You will be responsible for taking and resolving helpdesk calls, escalating issues to colleagues or third party suppliers as appropriate, and from this you will also be able to see where there are training needs. As and when required you will deliver training to new and existing staff on the firm's various information systems through classroom sessions, using CBT, group demonstrations and one-to-one coaching. In essence, we are looking for someone at who can take an IT problem and who will find a viable solution, someone who can take IT projects forward, and someone who is capable of training non-IT people. This is an important role within the firm, and is reflected by the salary offered with a good range of benefits. It is not a role for a pure IT Trainer to take on, but one more suited to a 2nd LineSupport person, who has been involved in working on projects and provided user training.
